Sewer System Concerns

We are beginning to have issues with sewer lift stations related to cleaning products being flushed. Please see the following. Continuing this practice could cause pump failures and eventually sewer backups. 


COVID-19 Update 3/24/20


Kimball Township Residents:


In order to get the current crisis under control, (spread of coronavirus – CIVID 19) the State of Michigan has issued a Stay Home, Stay Healthy Alert.  We will continue to provide essential services to Kimball Township Residents and Customers by email, phone and drop box, also regular mail service will continue.


Emergency services will continue as they are essential services.  911 Dispatchers may ask questions to prepare responders when they enter your premises.  Safety is the first objective for all. Water and sewer services will continue with minimal staff.


All Parks and Recreation and other activities will be cancelled until further notice.


Township Administrative Offices will be closed until April 13, 2020.  Staff will be able to answer questions via email and phone. Call our main number at (810) 987-9797, below is the extensions as follows:

































Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals will be cancelled until further notice.


The Building Inspection and Ordinance Enforcement Office will be closed to the public.  Other than limited, critical appointments only. While some inspections will take place, no inspections will take place in occupied structures, except by the discretion of the building official.  Contact Building regarding questions at (810) 531-6445.

After Hours Calls


Kimball Township will be using an answering service for all after hours emergency calls. This will allow for more efficient routing of your emergency calls, and quick responses. Port City Communications will be providing this service, and the Township only pays for time their staff spends on the phone handling your needs. If you have questions, please call the Township office.
